The Civil Service Commission has set the official working hours for the month of Ramadan in 22 government institutions from 9:30 in the morning until two in the afternoon, reports Al-Qabas daily. These institutions are the ministries of Commerce, Awqaf, justice, works, higher education, Communications, education, media, the Public Authority for Housing Welfare, the Public Ports Authority, the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources, the Public Authority for Youth, the Public Authority for Sports, and the Environment Public Authority, Public Authority for Industry, Public Authority for Minors Affairs, General Administration of Customs, Fire Department, Credit Bank, Zakat House, Kuwait Municipality and the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters, reports a local Arabic daily.

Passengers have to pay 50 KD additional during arrival in Kuwait
As per recent decision from the council of ministries that airlines are to be charged for PCR tests at the time of arrival. The directorate of Civil Aviation directed the airlines operating at Kuwait Airport to add the price of the PCR tests that will be imposed on all arrivals to Kuwait.
The concerned authorities have reached an initial price of KD 25 per PCR examination, two tests totals to KD 50. 14,600 driving licenses of expats withdrawn
The General Traffic Department cancelled 14,600 driving licenses of expats and were blocked from renewing their license after they had changed their professions. They were not entitled to hold a driving license. Currently there are 1,575,000 million driving license holders in Kuwait. From which 670,000 are Kuwaitis, 850,000 are Expats, 30,000 Bedouns and 25,000 Gulf Citizens. Total number of vehicles registered in the traffic department is 300,000.
the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for the Traffic Sector, Major General Jamal Al-Sayegh, gave instructions to traffic officers not to be lenient and ensures that everyone adheres to rules of granting and withdrawal of licenses whenever the license holder looses one of the condition on which the license was granted. Expat students are granted license on humanitarian grounds who are enrolled in colleges and universities but unfortunately after their studies they don’t handover their license back, reports Al Rai. The Traffic department blocks their driving license and considers it as void. They are not allowed to use it and whoever is caught will be deported for violating the laws of the country.
